I have been practicing photography for over two years, and I enjoy blending both practices to create original and impactful work. In my time as a photographer, I have interned and assisted many local photographers, including Ashley Loth (SoundSnapPhoto), Kim Brundage Photography, and Evan Ajin (HappyFleck Photo/Video). I have been trained in portrait, branding, boudoir, editorial, and videography during my time with them, and continue to improve my skills through my own practice.
A large part of my practice is social media marketing and design with the VCU club, Nate’s Promise. Nate’s Promise was founded in November 2024 by a friend of mine to honor the memory of Nate Metheny. Nate was the son of a close family friend who was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome and eventually passed away at age six due to complications with his diagnosis. We started Nate’s Promise to spread awareness and educational information about the special needs community. We partner with local organizations such as the Virginia Down Syndrome Association and the Autism Society of Central Virginia to create volunteer opportunities for VCU students. In my role as the Media and Communications Chair, I am responsible for creating and maintaining the club’s branding, website, and social media, as well as flyers and other promotional materials.
Last summer, I interned with Megan Wilson of Sweet Talk Strategy, where I gained insight into the intricacies of social media management, brand collaboration, and client relations. We collaborated on brand shoots, social media design, and management for small local businesses that were in a period of growth.
